I can’t believe how fast this year is going. How is it already almost April? Soon school will be out for summer and I will have a 4th grader and a 1st grader. I had to take a few seconds after I typed that and think about it for a bit.
Monday
Oh, let’s see, I didn’t do much except for general awesomeness! I took Jessica’s book and I made three dinners and froze two of them. Then I made freezer cookies (4th time now). I wrote three blog posts, picked up Buddy’s medication, put away the laundry, made all the beds, answered most of my emails, went on my walk, and did carpool. I pretty much credit the fact I wrote a to-do list. I’m worthless without a to-do list.
Tuesday
Not as productive as Monday. I had an appointment with my nutritionist, and then met with Andrea about Craft Cabinet stuff. (It’s coming up!) Two blog posts.
Wednesday
I want to thank you for always leaving such thoughtful comments here. You really take the time to engage in a conversation with me, and it shows. On my end, it’s very much appreciated, and I hope that shows, too. I feel that we’ve built a pretty tight little community over here, and that makes me very happy. I’ll take that over legions of blind followers any day. I’ve been having headaches all week, so I’ve been a little slower than usual responding to comments, but I’m caught up as of early Thursday evening. Lots of great perspectives on blogging over here.

Friday
Today will be the first day in a week that I haven’t had a headache. I just know it! Can I tell you why I have had a headache since last Friday? I’m convinced it’s because I had a salacious dream about Justin Timberlake last Friday morning that traumatized me.
Justin Timberlake!
I don’t even like Justin Timberlake! In fact, I strongly dislike Justin Timberlake! Something about him is just so…smug. Just thinking about that dream makes me a little nauseous, and it was only PG-13 thank God. {{shudder}} It doesn’t help that guy is promoting his new album as if it’s paying for a new kidney. Everywhere I turn, there he is, tormenting me. I tried to get on his website to look at pictures of him and figure out what it is about him I dislike so much, but you have to sign in with your facebook account or email before you are allowed access. As if, Justin. As if.
The Weekend
I haven’t looked, and honestly I don’t want to know. So long as I don’t have a headache, I’m good.
Elsewhere
This week on The Craft Cabinet I took inspiration from the first few days of Spring. There was an Easter outfit, a brunch menu, an urban farm in New York City, and come pretty cool hanging planters. You know how I love my plants.
Have a happy weekend, everyone.

That is funny about Justin Timberlake. There is something smug about him.

I just want to wipe that smirk off his face!

Here’s hoping for a headache-free weekend for you! I didn’t comment on your post about blogging – since I don’t blog I had to think about that for a while. Just wanted to add that you are one of two blogs I check every single weekday for posts (you and YHL). as far as I’m concerned, blogs are like books – there will never be too many well-written, thought-provoking, and entertaining ones.

Ha! Guess who was on Fresh Air today? JT himself. :) I actually like him – he’s one of my favorite Saturday Night Love hosts, but I do get what it is you see when you don’t like him. (Not when you’re dreaming about him!)

See? He’s everywhere! {{shudder}}

Well now, that may be the funniest confession I’ve ever read on the internet. A salacious JT nightmare! May you be fully recovered from the trauma and on to a headache free weekend. I’ve got to go back and read the comments about blogs. I have a long list I’m planning on cutting ties with and actually, sort of, kind of look forward to Google Reader going away. Almost like when a timesuck coworker transfers or your dealer is put away for life. ;) I find it FAR too easy to get sucked into pretty pictures or opinions written as truth that by the end of the day I’m turned into knots because 1) my house/kids/pantry doesn’t look like theirs or 2) I ate something not whole30/processed/made with sugar or 3) I actually purchased a home decor instead of crafting/spraypainting/whipping it up from junk in my barn (which I do not have and/or want.) Sigh.
This is one of the many reasons I love your blog. It has none of that!

I laughed when I read the dealer line. :)

Don’t worry – we’ve all had sexy dreams about very odd people. Recently, I had one about going camping with Chris Evans that turned out pretty…well, let’s just say not PG-13. I’m not even that big of a Chris Evans fan…but I guess if he did what he did in that dream of mine, I’d be tempted to reconsider. ;-)
Hope you have a great, headache-free weekend!

Hilarious about Justin Timberlake and I completely agree. Sure some of his sounds are catchy and he is funny on SNL but it’s just too much of too much and he has a arrogant, prissy manner to him that I loathe. Laineygossip agrees too! His friends did a terrible thing at his wedding that was splashed all over the news, he said he had no idea about it but as they say, you are the company you keep. http://www.laineygossip.com/Justin-Timberlake%E2%80%99s-friends-mock-homeless-people-in-wedding-video/24981?celebrityId=80

See?! Oooh. That guy! Blech.

Ha, ha about Justin Timberlake. Funniest thing I read all day!

I wish my Monday was that productive ;) Sounds like a pretty good way to start the week! :)

I’m not much of a JT fan either and turned off Fresh Air after a few minutes.
On another note, I remember you mentioning that you would like to write a book at some point. (All of us happy Pancakes & French Fries readers would read it!) DesignSponge has an interview with a book editor this week that discusses turning blogs into books (podcast link below). I haven’t listened to it yet, but I’ve enjoyed the DS interviews I’ve listened to before.

I stand in awe of your Monday! You were Awesome with a side of awesome sauce!
And you know, I’m beginning to see that I must have a list in order to function. I used to be able to keep it all together in my head. Remember, when those Day Planners the size of Texas were cool? Everyone was lugging around their 10-pound artificial snake skin planner to show how crazy their life was . . .mine was always empty. Because I never needed to write it down. It was such a disappointment. Now I’m wondering where I can find one . . . because technology will be no help whatsoever for this old fashioned girl . . .
But I digress.
Happy Weekend, my friend!
