First, thank you to our servicemen/woman and their families for their sacrifice. All gave some; Some gave all.
It’s unfortunate that poor planning and organization on my part means I have to clutter this post with a The Phenomenally Indecisive Book Club reminder. One the plus side, at least this month I’m giving a reminder, which is more than I did last month. (Oops!)
We’ll be discussing The Night Circus soon, but I want to go over dates. Normally we do discussions on the last day of the month, but that falls on a Thursday, which is when we share our William Morris projects. We usually push discussion to the next day if the last day of the month falls on a Thursday, but that puts discussion on a Friday of a short week.
We can do discussion on Friday, June 1st or Monday, June 4th. I want to hold it on a date that will bring the most participation, so please let me know in the comments which date works better for you. Majority wins on this one.
Thank you! :)

I’m ready to talk about this book, any time, any where!
Also, I love your curtains. :)
Kat from Canada says
I say Monday (mainly because I have barely started the book and could use the extra week!)
Kendra says
I vote Monday. I want to reread the book to refresh my memory, but I just got it from the library and have 1 more book to read before I can turn the wifi back on in my Kindle. Don’t ask LOL.
Jeen-Marie says
I’m open to either date.
Was a decission made to what we are reading next? Or did I miss the announcement?
Jules says
I’ll do a post on that on Wednesday. I have book club stuff, but I have other stuff to blog about, too. There’s going to be double postings this week, so I apologize in advance if your reader explodes! :)
Sally says
This is not a book club comment but I also wanted to say I really like your curtains. I’m always drawn to leaf patterned fabric.
Jules says
Thanks! They are old, from IKEA. They’re lined, so the quality is actually quite nice.

My preference is Monday. And speaking of books, becayse you mentioned them a couple of times, I bought 9 Sookie Stackhouse books this weekend. I couldn’t find one but I don’t think it matters. From about 1:00 Saturday afternoon until last night I read 7 of them :) It’s been raining here all weekend thanks to some tropical storm, so it was perfect! Thanks!!
Jules says
Hah! Those are like candy. :)
Jules says
Hmmm. Judging by the completely lackluster response to this post, I suspect very few people will be participating in the book club whether I have it on Friday or Monday!
Monica says
:( I am sure more people will be around for the discussion. I am with the majority – Monday.
Jules says
I hope so…
Melissa@HomeBaked says
Monday the 4th. I started the book, but let myself get distracted by another book. By Monday I should be able to finish them both!
Amy says
Any date is good with me! Love the flag through the window . . . :)
Jules says
Thanks! I thought it looked pretty. :)
Samma says
Monday, please!
(oh, and reminder of when we’re about to discuss is super helpful)
Alana in Canada says
Monday, please. I have a chance of participating that way! I’ve been relying on loans from the library and none have arrived in time to participaye, so far–but my husband managed to snag a copy of this just yesterday. Kids go to various camps this weekend, so I’ve reserved the entire day on Saturday to read it. (And the low response to this post could just be fallout from your long weekend.)
Kelly says
Monday, por favor. That’ll give me a chance to, y’know, buy & read the book. (My own club would be the Phenomenal Procrastinators.)
Jules says
Hahahaha!
Lisa in Seattle says
Monday, please!
Shaina says
I didn’t have a preference but checked in to see what day was winning the favor. Looks like I should check in on Monday!
