This is the refrigerator we keep in the garage. It’s the only extra freezer we have, and since the freezer in our “real” refrigerator isn’t working properly, it’s now the freezer we use until the Mister can figure out what’s wrong with the other one. I love this refrigerator. It works like a charm, it fits weeks worth of food, and it never fails me. Also, it was a hand me down from my best friend’s mom. It used to be her garage refrigerator and, before that, it was the refrigerator my best friend and I tore apart in 1987 to make pancakes and french fries at 2:00am after watching Saturday Night Live.
The contents look random and old because they are, aside from the popsicles. We had to toss out all our frozen goods a couple of weeks ago when the house freezer broke. With me relying so much on Jessica’s book during the 31 day eat at home challenge, I knew I had to get in here and clean out the freezer.
I filled one shopping bag of old food and put all the jars in the kitchen to wash. I also washed the interior and gave everything a very quick wipe down. It took me exactly 7 minutes from start to finish. I know this because I set the timer to 10 minutes–I had a batch of Jessica’s breakfast freezer cookies in the oven.
