Summer

I’ve been dreaming up summer adventures. Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate. The goal is to come home with aching feet and frizzy hair wisping out of a day-old ponytail. Then I want to plop on the sofa with a cold glass of water and play with the memories of the day.

  1. And I’m pinning your poster to Pinterest. Congratulations – you have officially arrived at “Big Time Blog” status…what are you going to do next?? ;-)

So want to be there, this darn weather is getting me down though (although my dreams aren’t limited to outside pursuits, it just would be nice to be able to have one consecutive week of sunshine).

    Well said. Well said.

Amen sister! I live in Southern Indiana and yesterday the high was only 86…it was a gorgeous day! So, after work, I raced home, changed clothes and worked in the yard for a couple hours. Typically I would come home, sit on the couch, look at the internet (after I’d already spent 9+ hours online at work) and watch tv. It felt good not opening the computer. It felt good not laying the couch. Now…with that said…tomorrow the high will be 106, so I’m thinking indoor activities are going to be the way to go, but I’m still going to try to stay unplugged!

    Great summer goal!

Hi! I’m Jules.

I used to be an attorney, but it made me grumpy. Now I write about life, sweet and savory, as a wife and mother to two small boys. My knowledge of dinosaurs knows no bounds.

You can read more, including the meaning behind the name Pancakes and French Fries here. And, yes, I really am phenomenally indecisive.
