Hey remember when last week I tried to giveaway books I didn’t own? That was so funny!!! (False.)
Today I’m giving away two books, but I only own one of them. Progress! I finished A Discovery of Witches, the book club pick for this month (discussion tomorrow!), and in doing the research for my post realized that Deborah Harkness was going to be in southern California again. I had planned to go to her signing at the beginning of July, but it didn’t happen. This time, I decided to make a go of it come hell or high water.
I went! I had Deborah Harkness sign my copy of Shadow of Night, the sequel to A Discovery of Witches. Then I bought a second copy and had her sign it to the book club. That’s the copy I’m giving away today!
Meanwhile, on the East Coast where everyone else lives, a reader named Kendra (she’s here in the comments a lot) did the very same thing one week prior. That’s the second copy I’m giving away today! Thanks, Kendra, for traveling to the book signing, buying the book, standing in line for the autograph, and then giving it away!
Two signed copies of Shadow of Night for two readers. Yup.
The only rule I have is that everyone must be 18 and up. I believe that’s a gaming law requirement, sorry. Since I now know so many of you live nowhere near California or the United States, I’m opening this up to international readers, too.
Thanks, everyone, for the support you have given me and my blog. Good luck, and I hope you like the book!
UPDATE: Winners!
IJOEMONKEY and PHAEDRA! Congratulations, ladies. I’m emailing you now.
