My daughter used to have pet worms! and other assorted bugs. She had a box of worms, lying very still on a hot summer day. (?) She called them wormy babies.
Haven’t checked in a couple days (studying for GRE’s at the tender age of 38–OY!), so I missed your birthday AND a kind mention of me *sniff* for your giveaway! So HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY (and I believe that one’s birthday, after the age of 30, should be celebrated for a FULL WEEK) and I’m so glad you liked the book! The movie took liberties that annoyed me (even though I have a girl crush on Frances McDormand) but it did have the lovely light-heartedness of the book.
Oh! Love the look of the new blog. NICE.
So sad about that sweet little girl. Wow. It hits close to the bone with any parent to hear something so scary. I’m going to put her on my rabbi’s prayer list. Every little bit helps!
Okay, I SWEAR this is my last comment (for today), but I’m tooling around your new site and must tell you how much I loved Stephen King’s On Writing. Fab.
Jackee– “Wormy” as Mikey called him suddenly turned dry and stopped moving. Hmmm. I wonder why? But now he is excited, because that means he is extinct and will become a fossil he can discover later. Gah!
Jen–I was wondering why you were silent! I took the GRE. Absolutely the worst performance on a national exam I have ever managed, and I’ve taken a few. Of course, I didn’t study because I was young and stupid. After so many (GRE, GMAT, LSAT) I am a MASTER at multiple choice. They really are a learned skill. My advice is to practice, practice, practice. After a while, you can see what the answer should be just by the way the question is phrased. Um, bored yet by my blathering?
Jen, the older I got the better I performed! You can do this. These tests don’t test intelligence, so don’t worry about the cobwebs. Are you taking a study course? If not, and it’s not too late, I highly recommend one if the budget allows.

Now I’m really scared! At least you were young without so many built-up cobwebs!! It’s so hard to study BECAUSE IT IS MIND-NUMBINGLY BORING.
