Favorite Moment

“Mama, I want my hair to have a twisted circle like Superman.”

“Mikey, I don’t think it’s long enough for a twisted circle.”

“How can I make it grow longer?”

“By eating all the food mama and daddy give you. And taking long naps everyday.”

………2 weeks later………

“Mikey, what do you want for dinner?”

“If I ate a grilled cheese sandwich would it make my hair grow longer?”

“Uh…I think so, yes.”

“Then I want Superman Grilled Cheese Sandwich.”

Kids say the darndest things don’t they? My neighbor’s little boy decided he wanted his head buzz cut like his daddy’s. He told his mom he wanted it just like his, without the “M”. After a few minutes of questioning regarding this “M”, she figured out he was refering to his dad’s receding hairline LOL. He thought my neighbor purposely cut it like that. Ahh innocence.

I told my four-year-old that if he drank his milk, he’d get strong and be able to better beat-up-uh, I mean defend himself better- on his older brother…worked like a charm.

    Ah, kids :)

Hi! I’m Jules.

I used to be an attorney, but it made me grumpy. Now I write about life, sweet and savory, as a wife and mother to two small boys. My knowledge of dinosaurs knows no bounds.

You can read more, including the meaning behind the name Pancakes and French Fries here. And, yes, I really am phenomenally indecisive.
