MIA

Sorry I’ve been away. Mikey has been sick (again) since Saturday and Nicholas since Sunday. We’ve been up all night every night. Mikey has a chest cold, and Nicholas is running a high fever. I thought things were looking good for Mikey, but when he sat down for dinner his face looked flushed. Sure enough, he has a fever, too. Naturally, The Mister is out to dinner tonight with clients.

Will my babies ever be healthy again? Will I ever sleep through the night for more than a couple days at a time? Stay tunned and see what happens in the next episode of As The Human Rhinovirus Turns. :(

Oh my God! I’m tired for you. Those poor little babies (and mom too). Hopefully when Spring actually comes this will all just be a bad memory. I hope things settle down in your house. I guess if they don’t you can just go outside and pray for that hawk to carry you off.

OK, now that was funny. :)

  3. Kendra plus 2 says:

    LOL that was funny.

I hope the boys get better soon. I know how exhausting 2 sick little ones can be. Just remember to take a little time for yourself for sanity’s sake. Maybe add a little Malibu Rum to the best smoothie ever.

LOL to both misplaced country girl and Kendra. I think the rum might be a good idea and maybe the hawk will carry you off to an island ;) Hang in there ok! I am thinking of you!

  5. Jules says:

How the hell am I supposed to feel sorry for myself if you keep making me laugh?!

Kendra: that smoothie does taste like a better version of a pina coloda–a little rum will just make it feel like one. Not a bad idea. Is 8:10am too early to mix one up?

At my house it has been, As the stomach bug turns. Hope you are all better soon.

  7. Jules says:

Darla–that’s a much worse soap opera! I may be up all night, but at least I’m not doing laundry! Is it just the baby, or all of you?

What’s the title of today’s episode? I’m hoping for “As the children heal” or “Mikey’s complete recovery” or even better “the free nanny who came from no where and gave me the day off!”

Hi! I’m Jules.

I used to be an attorney, but it made me grumpy. Now I write about life, sweet and savory, as a wife and mother to two small boys. My knowledge of dinosaurs knows no bounds.

You can read more, including the meaning behind the name Pancakes and French Fries here. And, yes, I really am phenomenally indecisive.
