First important thing: Mikey made the signs this year. No, Mikey remembered and made the signs this year. I forgot all about my 11-year-strong tradition! They look like signs Mikey would make, too. They are to the point. They don’t have a lot of color or fanfare, and at first glance might seem pretty serious and staid. If you look closely, however, you’ll discover something sweet and playful in the center. Yeah, Mikey made these signs.
Second important thing: For the first time in 11 years–for the first time since he realized people grow up and become something–Mikey wants to be something other than a paleontologist. This is huge for my steadfast and loyal son.

I obviously only know your children through your blog, but the first thing that occurred to me was that if Mikey says he’s going to be an astronaut, then he will!
