So wise. With his knack for detail (and love of books), perhaps there’s another writer in the family! Oh, and that last one? Loved it! :)
Wouldn’t that be something? I would be thrilled! :)
Well thank goodness for a child who puts a Wii at number 17 on his list. :) I love that you’re raising such an imaginative, honest, thoughtful, funny boy. I’m with Amy… there just might be another writer in the family!
Thanks, Annie. :)
Books ARE the only things you can’t have too many of. Sounds like he takes after his mama on this one!
I’ll say! Someone the other day said they had to buy a Kindle because they had way too many books. Like, 200. Bwuhahahahahaha! She needs to never come over to my house.
What a and gem he is! And I am with him all the way – although I might put the Wii a little lower. I would love to know how and why 17??? Thank you for sharing!
I have no idea, and I was so stunned by this random proclamation (God, #1? At 7 years of age?) that I didn’t think to ask! I’ll have to because I really am curious.
Stuff Mikey says is without a doubt, my favorite part of your blog!! Makes you wonder what numbers 3-16 are on his list! Thanks for sharing.
I’m dying to know, too!
p.s. You’re pretty.
So, I have to agree completely about ice cream and books! He’s definitely knows his stuff! :)
Ice cream and books happens to be my two favorite things in the world. Together, it’s an explosion of joy.
I love the ice cream comment. I can relate, well, except for the not needing it part;)
I have to put this comment in context, because it’s even more amusing. We were at the doctor (shocking) and the pediatrician was listening to Mikey’s lungs, checking his weight, the usual. I mentioned that Mikey has a low appetite, and that I didn’t know if I should be doing something to encourage him to eat more. He said that it’s funny how kids get that way/go through phases, and to not worry about it. “I’m sure he tells you he’s not hungry, but then needs ice cream.” Then Mikey looked up at him and said what he said.
The pediatrician looked at him, tried, tried, tried not to laugh, but lost it. Then he hugged Mikey and said, “Oh my God, this kid.”
So super cute! I love kids. Love the way they think. I
Awww…I just read your reply. Thank you. You’re pretty too!
The ones about ice cream and his wii made me laugh out loud :)
