Buddy knocked down all the pillows and blankets off the sofa and then used them to make a nest. I didn’t have the heart to wake him, and I left them on the floor for him all week.
I know my response is unpopular, and I’m supposed to remark how precious the photo is (and it is…), but all I can think is: Aaack!!! Hair!!! (My world of dogs is different from most, probably…)
Hah! No, if this had been in the family room where we (especially Mikey) sit, I would kindly but firmly tell Buddy to pound sand. In both instances the blankets are getting a wash in hot water.
I’m impressed by his industriousness.
Ah, now that is the life! You have only to glimpse at his face to know it’s true. As the Irish Proverb says, “a good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book.” Obviously, that is one wise {and handsome} pups.

Yeah, I’m not so generous when they try to sit on the sofa in the family room. In fact, I need to go shoo them right now.

And I guess I grew up in a not so clean household, because we ALWAYS had dogs on the couch, and in our beds. No allergies, though, which I’m sure changes the picture a bit.
We are going to use some money we have saved up to replace our upholstered sofa in the family room with something leather. We had this when we first got married, and it’s great for allergies/dogs that love to lay on the couch. We only started shooing them off the furniture after we got rid of the leather.
What I would give to sleep one night a week as well as a dog does! I’m not sure I’m ever that deep asleep.
