It’s funny. He’s in his 30s and an attorney, but I sometimes forget Paul is a dad, Gabby’s dad, and not just my 12 year-old brother babysitting the neighbor’s kid so he can earn enough money to buy The Legend of Zelda.
I’ve got to work on that. I’m pretty sure he finds it annoying.

Aaah, first birthdays … those are some good times!
And I know what you mean about your brother. My baby brother will always be my baby brother. Of course, now that I think of it … I don’t feel much older either. I mean really, thirty-seven was old … ANCIENT. Certainly, that cannot be me! :)

I can relate. My “baby” sister Jules is in her 30s, finishing up her doctorate degree, married and teaching at Columbia… yet I am always surprised that I work with and have friends who are younger than she is. I always think she’ll be little forever. I guess this is how our parents must feel about us. No matter how old and wrinkled we get, we’ll still be their babies.
