I’m in Real Simple‘s annual Family Issue for my escapades with a red sharpie marker. Surreal. Do you remember me posting that day, and how we were all talking like crazy in the comments about what to do? I sure do.
You can find this issue at most supermarkets and all the usual booksellers. A special thanks to Apartment Therapy‘s Elizabeth Passarella for thinking of me.
GASP! Congrats … so exciting!
Wonderful Jules! You are famous and the boys are infamous : )
my fave magazine! so exciting for you! can’t wait to see it in print. and yes, we were all just as traumatized as you on that day…
Well, don’t be too excited. It is a two sentence mention. But, it’s mention!
Congratulations, Jules!
Must feel nice to see a mention in print – and not just any print but Real Simple. That’s wonderful, Jules! Congrats!
Woot woot!!!!! I just saw that on the newstand — now that I know you’re in it, I’m going to snag one. The sharpie post is one of my all time favorites! Congratulations!
Wow, that’s pretty cool! I haven’t even seen Real Simple Family yet, but RS is one of my faves.
Congratulations, Jules! I really enjoyed the issue – a great supplement to the already terrific Real Simple. Have a wonderful day!
Wow, that’s awesome! Two lines or two pages, it’s pretty darned impressive to be in a nationally distributed glossy. And a Real Simple publication? That’s even cooler!
Very exciting! We can say we knew you when
*AWESOME* Congrats Jules!
Congrats Jules! I am so thrilled for you:)
Congrats! That’s so exciting! Good for you.
That’s so awesome! Congrats!!
The red marker incident was on YOUR couch? I totally remember that but didn’t know that was you.
So awesome. Congrats!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m going to pick up a copy just because you’re in it!
um, dude, i totally just read that issue, saw the bit on sharpie markers and said “eh, i don’t need to read that. if i ever get sharpie all over my couches, i know jules has got the goods online” and totally skimmed over it.
hahahaha
congrats :-)
AHHH-HAHAHAHAHA!
Congrats!
And now I remember you! I’ve been here before. :) At the time of that post, I was considering buying the Corona from Macy’s.
And I know it’s not nice to laugh, but I just looked at the marker destruction photos again and giggled. Gotta love kids!
So totally well deserved. I remember having to physically pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw your amazing couch saving marker coup!

In a more detailed post, I will run through some of the reasoning
behind our choices. Great reasoning here.
I really do like viewing your blog. I truly have learned a vast amount from them.
