And this concludes our vacation. We are now packing up the carto head home this weekend, all of us eager to see again the missing member of our family. Thanks so much to all (five) of you who humored me while I posted during my vacation even though I swore I would be gone.
I’ll be back soon with more pictures of our last days in Lake Tahoe. I have a few pictures that I love, but can you believe that this entire time I’ve been dealing with dial up? My patience extends only so far when it comes to uploading large images to flickr.

If I remember correctly, Lake Tahoe water is freeeezing. At least that’s what I remember on the one trip I made out there. I noticed lots of waders in your pictures, but not many swimmers.
I can’t wait for photos. The scenery and boys are beautiful!

What about those who called Lake Tahoe the ocean? I think there should be a special prize for that one … *sigh* See! That’s what happens when I’m overwhelmed with more than one post. Perhaps it’s time to subscribe …
And dial-up? Now that’s dedication!

Ahhh, now I feel badly. Like, a friend was counting on me for something and I dropped the ball. See..and I thought you MEANT it when you said you were taking a vacay!! Next time, I just won’t believe you.. :)
Now I’ll have to catch up on all your saucy stories since I’ve been away..
How was the book reading? Seriously, aren’t reading old classics just the best? I’ve been nasty busy with school (almost finished with the PhD, yay!), but I did find time to find a couple really good reads to tell you about, if I’m not too late.
Historical-fiction..my favorite, mostly history but with some embellished details so it doesn’t feel like the book is just a textbook.
Helen of Troy and Cleopatra by Margaret George (seriously, she’s the best..have all her books, and let me warn you, they can double for exercise duty. They’re heavy!!)
And two really great memoirs I just finished.. My Lobotomy and A Long Way Gone.. good read..

We’re back!
Becky–yes, the water is COLD. People were kind of swimming on the first day, but the other days were a bit chilly.
Amy–yes, you’ll have to subscribe. :)
Mrs. Soup and Joy–Thanks! I’m working on taking better pictures, and I think these Lake Tahoe pictures turned out really well!
Brandi–I will have to check out your recommendations. I did read–three books–and I’ll report on them later this week.
