I know, more pictures of the beach. But it’s so simple to do! The boys have a blast throwing rocks into the water and I get to loll on a weathered, broken chaise and read books under the sun. I almost have a tan, too. Seriously, I’m like a deep, dark, ivory.
Okay, I’ll be good. No more boring pictures of the same 20 yard stretch of beach. Maybe tomorrow we will venture out to neighboring cities and–surprise, surprise–take more pictures. Just not of the beach, I promise…ish.

Donna says
Your pictures are gorgeous, ocean and beach, wait I think I can hear waves!
More photos like those are okay with me…
Heidi says
So jealous. You post as many pics of the beach as you want to, honey. It’s natural beauty for all of us work-a-holics to see and experience through you.
Andrea Howe says
I love Tahoe. Which side are you staying on? Looks like the North side?
Amy says
Oh, but I love the beach … and due to unpaid invoices, I haven’t the money to visit the beach {not that I’m bitter} … so more pictures of the ocean are fine by me! :)
Jules says
Hello! :)
It’s actually not the ocean–it’s Lake Tahoe. It’s huge, right?
Andrea–yes, north side.

Sure wish I was on vacation right now. Those pictures are like a moment of bliss during the work day. I mean, ahem…, after work, when I get home and check out my favorite blogs.
JJ says
Amazing photos. Maybe I should come down there and say hi to you guys for a week or two.
Cara says
Wow! Those are beautiful! and yeah, I’d have thought it was the ocean if you hadn’t cleared that up! :) More beach pics are fine by me too! But other ones are too! And you know, my opinion doesn’t really matter b/c it’s your blog! ha ha ha ha!

Love how the lifeguard is drinking out of a sam adams cup hahaha, those are great pics, would love to know what beach that is…
Miss B. says
A tan ivory? My goodness you kill me:)
Jules says
Tessa–good eye! I thought it was funny, too.
It looks like an ocean because the sea was angry that day, my friends. (Seinfeld quote.) They weren’t waves by any means, but it was rougher than what you would expect at a lake that to a strong wind.

I LOVE these pics. Extra bonus? There’s no oil.
“Im like a deep, dark, ivory…” so funny! Perhaps that sentence is also written in Snow White’s journal on her beach honeymoon with Prince Charming.
Susan says
Beautiful pictures! I am glad you are enjoying yourself. How are you getting those cool colors? Cross processing?
Jules says
Yes, cross processing in Picnick. :)
Susan says
I love the cross processing feature in Picnick! I’ve never had my pictures turn out as nicely as yours did, though.
