My son just had his (he is 5) and did awesome. Maybe it’s because he’s used to it now or maybe he’s matured! Good Luck. We are actually going back tomorrow for the post blood test skin tests. Every year I pray they will get better but it seems like every year we add more!
Does he get blood work and the scratch test? Nicholas was always too young for the scratch test, but Mikey had his first one last year at 5 and also did awesome. I didn’t even think Nicholas would get the scratch test today instead of a blood draw. I think he is still too young for it. It will probably be blood. Sigh.
I hope your results show a decrease! :)
I’ll be thinking of you and Nicholas! My almost-5-yr-old Eva has her allergist appt next month. She got the scratch test on her very first visit (when she was 3), and this time I think they’ll do a blood draw. I guess every dr. is different. I’m not too worried this time about how the actual visit will go–for once I don’t have to take all three kids with me! (Thanks, Mom!) Eva is my trooper at the dr., anyway. She doesn’t flinch or cry at a flu shot, while her brothers are wailing and thrashing all over the floor. For the boys, IF they let me, I bust out the lollipops at the critical moment. And McDonald’s right after. WITH ice cream.
