A few good eggs this week:
- If I suddenly become social enough to host a Halloween party, I will make these napkin rings.
- I admire people who know what they like. This looks like warm cookies and milk.
- The same can be said about this young woman, except her room looks more like hot toddies and cigars.
- I’m always on the look out for inexpensive, but stylish, lamps.
- I plan to nourish my family with a few of these fall soups–and then make something on the side for His Royal Highness, Nicholas, after I cave from the frustration.
- This soup was delicious. Try it with the cinnamon bread, no matter how odd that sounds to you at first. We all loved it, except His Royal Highness. (I tried, Jen, but the boy hates soup.)
- I like what Summer had to say about decorating her new home.
- It’s Pretty Good. Because, apparently, the url Down Right Fabulous was taken.
- I’m sure these taste awful. Heaven help me.
- Mikey is doing better, in a way. The fever is gone(ish) but left behind a large water blister on the pad of his lip. The doctor says it’s not a cold sore–more like something you would see on a parched man left dying of thirst in the desert. It’s a sign of how hot his fever burned. He’s getting plenty of fluids and some Vitamin E ointment. Thank you for your prayers and warm thoughts.
- Next week is going to be awesome. Because I said so.

I’m glad to hear Mikey is doing better … but a water blister? Yikes! I guess at least he has a righteous war wound to display for a bit! Not to mention bragging rights. “You think you had it rough? Well take a look at this my friend – my fever exploded through my lip! You heard me! EXPLODED!!!”

Glad to hear Mikey is doing better! Just keep trying with the soup. I know it took a few tries of salad before Olivia would eat it. Briana loves soup! She has some how associated tomato soup to helping with her allergies at preschool. My girls even eat onions (when its chopped up and in something they like). ;)

I love your website! I stumbled upon your red sharpie post last night, and sat for hours reading page after page, falling deeper and deeper in love with your words, and relating to you in so many ways (i had a WHITE couch, and a similar incident with my son and a palette of eyeshadows). Thank you for inspiring me to focus on H.A.L.T.’ing at the refrigerator door. I always said, if I get pregnant again, and it’s a boy- I’ll cry for an entire day… After seeing your boys, I think I’ll cry for an hour, and then get over it. Thanks for sharing your world with us, and reminding me that being indecisive SHOULD be celebrated! p.s. I hope you don’t mind if I add you to my blogroll :)

Good on Mikey.. at least on the feeling better part. Does he like bread or crackers? Could he could dip?
My oldest got a soup cookbook for Christmas last year. He has cooked up a storm ever since. I am bookmarking the links – he will love them and we/I like a night off from cooking.. : )

Pies in a jar? Simple and AWESOME! In fact, I made chicken pot pies in jars… and shepards pies in jars… and about three dozen fruit pies in jars. I just haven’t blogged about them yet. But I strongly encourage trying it because they are simply the cutest little thing ever. They certainly brightened up my day at work when I popped a reheated pie out of the microwave and dug in!
And since you love links… here is one to a template for jar labels. =)
