It looks like Mikey might have the flu or a very bad cold. His fever is about 103-104, but he was in good spirits all through the night, especially when we played parachute with the sheet around 3:30am (I was only trying to fan him, but he started giggling so I kept doing it.)
I will be off the computer today and maybe tomorrow, so if you feel the world counter rotate, you now know why. I don’t want to alarm you, but I am pretty sure the world is going to end if I don’t check my email every 10 seconds. Just start organizing your affairs–that’s all I’m saying.
In the meantime, I hope all is well with you and yours. If you could perhaps send prayers or positive thoughts in our direction, they would be most appreciated. I might even send you bread.

Boo. If you feel positivity and the light of God shining on you from the general direction of North Carolina, it’s my doing. Hope the lad is feeling better soon.

My little 13 month old ran a really high temperature (103.8-104.4) a couple of weekends ago and kept it up for two or three days. The pediatrition ran all the tests and decided it was just this high-fever virus going around DFW. He didn’t have ANY other symptoms besides a fever! Tell your little guy to get better soon!

I just went through the same thing with both kids. Logan kicked the fever after two days, but Sam had it pretty bad for over a week. Doctor said it was just a virus and would run its course. Sure enough, after missing three days of work (good thing I had already given my notice) she is finally feeling better. Sending prayers and good wishes your way.

Poor fellow … I will definitely keep him – and his whole family – in my prayers!

sending good thoughts from the East Coast. hope your little man gets better soon. those fevers are nerve racking! will he tolerate splashing around in a tepid bath? just don’t refer to him as the “germ factory”. my 7 year old has stopped appreciating that one :)

Did someone say bread!? A loaf from the store or a fresh, homemade loaf? …will pray for bread. Just kidding.
We’re praying for you Mikey and for the rest of the family to stay healthy!

Aww… poor thing. Is this why he missed the field trip? You might have to take him on another one, just the two of you, to make up for it.. :)
I recently had the flu myself.. was out for almost 2 weeks.. I feel his pain.

Poor little guy, I’ll send positive thoughts from way up here. And I understand the email compulsion. I’ve started checking email on my iPhone before I even turn my lamp on first thing in the morning. I think I need help.

Sending positive thoughts your way! Feel better, little Mikey…

Sending prayers and hugs your way! The flu is running rampant here – a few schools are closing because of it. Ugh! Hope Mikey feels better and everyone else escapes it.

I know it is sad when our kids or grandkids are sick. I pray for Mikey Lord right now that you would lift this fever and whatever else he has from his body. I pray for Jules for her spirits and for strenght, I remember the many nights when my children were small and oh so sick, it is very draining. I ask you Lord , that you also be with all of those other children and parents that are experiencing the same thing right now. You are the master healer Lord, and I know you are there in the midst…. lots of hugs to you all~
