Today is not just Labor Day, but also the day female attorneys turned stay at home moms (who take the occasional case on the side) post about fall mobiles. What, you didn’t know?
Mikey came home from school with a fall mobile on Friday and, just like that, I am now excited for fall. I took this picture on Friday, thinking it would be a nice picture to look at on the holiday Monday that typically marks the end of summer.
Kate of Centsational Girl must have had a similar thought because today she also posted about fall mobiles. The mobile on Kate’s blog is a good deal prettier than those fashioned out of construction paper scraps in kindergarten, so I suggest you check out her tutorial if you are looking for a fun and inexpensive craft to do with your kids. I’m actually thinking of making one or two with the boys and hanging them along our very long front porch, some of which you can see in the background of the picture.
Any plans for today? None for us–Mikey has been sick all weekend with a feverish cold. Boo.

I love Fall decorations as much as Christmas decor! It’s so playful! I love your mobile!

I better get started on a mobile so I can write my obligatory post today too!

I am SO ready for fall! Hope Mikey gets well soon! We went to an arts and music festival downtown – a nice break from the laptop all weekend. Didn’t even blog either!

Me have sick child too. Zero fun.
Thanks for posting about lil ol me. You rawwwwwk. And I really love your mobile. In fact, that’s what mine should be called, a mobile. I just have mommy brain, so I called mine a ‘wind catcher’ cause you know everyone knows what that is. Huh?
