We went out to dinner with my parents last night to California Pizza Kitchen.� Twenty minutes later, it was obvious Nicholas was having a severe allergic reaction to� something he ate.� His entire, 26 pound body was the color of a tomato and covered in hives.� On top of that, he was listless, which really put me over the edge on the “Scared Shitless” scale of fear and confusion.� At the Urgent Care they gave him a shot of steroids and benadryl.� We watched him through the night, and today he is pale, has dark circles under his eyes, and is acting like absolutely nothing terrifying happened last night.� Fit as a fiddle, he is.
I took him to the pediatrician today.� I disagree with his approach (there is no approach) so I am getting a second opinion.
I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and disconnected from my family.� That is no good, so I am taking a little break.� The Mister will hopefully be working soon, and it’s important to me that we spend as much time together while we can.� Plus, this week is Mikey’s spring break!� Hopefully we will do something fun and exciting, and not just visit pediatric allergist offices
Have a great spring while I am gone.� Hopefully when I return I will be 50 pounds thinner.� :)
p.s.� Allergies SUCK ASS.

I would have passed right out if I saw my baby turning the color of a tomato, then we both would be in Urgent care. Okie dokie well, I personally don’t suggest a break because you make your #1 fan laugh her head off but I guess if you have to…I will be here wandering around aimlessly laugh-less until your return…

I am with you on the break- when I started blogging- I just started to accumulate blogs to follow exponentially. It has gotten out of control. I need to reign it in! Enjoy your break – but know- you will be missed.
