Last week I was disappointed I had only lost roughly 6 pounds in one month. Today, I am thrilled to have lost 7 pounds in 6 weeks. It’s all a matter of perspective; I only lost 2 ounces this week.
I can no longer deny the importance of exercise for my long term success. This week, while eating with abandon, I exercised. Not a lot, but some, and some appeared to be enough. I plan to hike the same mountain every Monday with my friends. The rest of the week I will garden, walk, and maybe dust off the work out video I received free of charge from the Mister’s old place of employment.
Speaking of employment, he is right now sitting across his [potential] future employer discussing issues like salary, benefits, and job duties. We are optimistic the salary will be enough to keep me out of a full time position in a law firm. If it isn’t, we will take it from there.

I blogged that I recently lost only 1.2 lbs. in a week. Seems I counted and measured and starved and was generally consumed with food and thoughts of food to only lose 1.2 lbs. Then someone reminded me that four sticks of butter is a pound of butter. I felt a little better! I only ate one stick after all!

Here is hoping that the money is as good. A pound a week is great! Slow and steady wins the race. I lost 0.5 pound this week.

Thanks everyone! The Mister came home with no news. The company still doesn’t have a hard figure for him, so we will wait. The owner is a long time family friend, so while we know it won’t be what he was making before, it will hopefully be in the “don’t have to work in a firm downtown” ballpark.
