This is an old picture of Mikey. Actually, I took this picture one year ago yesterday and I can’t believe how much he has grown–how his faced has thinned out and how he eats from that same bowl now and doesn’t look so tiny. Everything is changing, but he is still our sweet boy.
Today was “let the managers know” day at the Mister’s company. All of his managers over the last 10 years–not one with less than 15-20 years with the company–were let go. In the Mister’s words: It was a blood bath.
On Friday we learn our own fate. It should be fine. It might not be. But it won’t be anything we can’t handle as a family. :)
And this time next year our children’s faces will have changed even more, the world will be different, the economy, jobs, all so uncertain. But the light in our eyes, and family–that is what we hold on to.

Oh jules…such a good attitude from you in such a scary, uncertain time. Remember, God will bring you through it too, right? As for Mikey…my heart melted at his pudgy little arm/hand and the little face. You are right, he is so much more “big boy” and less “baby” now.
