One of the things I love about Argentina is the way they package store purchases. No matter what you buy, each item is individually wrapped. Many stores have their own special paper, and most come with a sweet little store label. Nothing fancy, but it is a nice touch.
I met my cousin for the first time last night. This is the first time I have seen my aunt and uncle in 15 or so years. They got to meet my husband and our sons. It was wonderful.
I would like to take my 15 year old cousin someplace fun. I know she likes the Jonas Brothers {is there a teen aged girl who doesn’t?}, but that is about all I know. If you were visiting southern California, where would you like to go? What would you like to see? I’ve lived here nearly all my life, so I’m a little out of touch with what is hip and cool for visitors. Of course, they are going to Disneyland for several days. My mom is taking them to Lake Tahoe. But, after that, there is an open schedule.
I’m actually excited to visit some of these touristy places. Having lived here all my life, many of them I’ve avoided, and it would be nice to check them out finally!

Oh my god, Jules, take her to see Twilight–as least once. I know that’s not a California-centric idea, but she’s the PERFECT age (and you can ogle those boys too because they’re all legal, unlike the Jo Bros).

I got to go to the San Diego Zoo when I was sixteen, and I absolutely loved it. I live in New York, so I know very little about places to go in southern California. I guess I would recommend letting your cousin pick someplace to go. Not that this is necessarily happening to her, but I can remember being left out of the planning stage of trips constantly when I was younger and it really annoyed me. You could grab some brochures featuring places near you and let her have a look at them.
My only suggestion is Coronado – we took our kids to San Diego ages ago and they loved the beach at Coronado.
Maybe I’m too simple but I would love to just hang out at the beach. Ah, big bodies of water, nothing quite spells vacation like that.

I LOVED going to LA!! I loved it not only because it was a new place for me to visit, I loved it because it was a great moment to know you better and spend some time with you. After 15 years I could finally spend time with you and it was awesome. I love youuu cousin!.
