I’ve had many this week.
The week started off well with a little visit of the newborn variety. Always a plus, especially when you’re not the one getting up at all hours.
Then again, I really did enjoy my brief foray in the wild animal kingdom.
Oh, but I did finally hang up our wedding invitation and portrait after two years in my parents’ garage. That felt quite lovely to accomplish.
But what about dinner with The Mister? Alone? At a place with nary a chicken nugget on the menu? Could there be a more favorite moment? I didn’t think so.
That is, until today. I’ve been tired and feeling out of sorts. By the early afternoon, as a little vein on the left side of my head started to pound, the inexplicable exhaustion of the last week suddenly became very clear. Why, hello there, migraine. I haven’t seen you in a while. How thoughtful of you to return! I have been eating crap, after all.
I called The Mister and begged him for an early return. He could hear the boys tearing apart the house and made it home by 5:25, not sure what he would find. He was practically running through the door.
Jules: “Hello.” {Click} went the camera.
The Mister: “Hello. Am I your favorite moment?”

So great!!! I like how your framed your wedding portrait and invite – what a great idea. I have a 11×14 framed picture of Mr KB and I on a shelf in a closet :) still looking for the “right” place but clearly a dark closet shouldn’t be it either. Have a great w/e! PS I think the search for orange recipes might be over… looks like you have a keeper there in that delicious drink!

Brie–Ah, you must have gotten married around the same time as The Mister and I. Those huge portraits were in every wedding package, eh? I think there’s a whole bunch of us “married for a while gals” struggling to find a place in the house for such a large picture! It’s actually hung on the walls going into the bathroom (eek!) but I figured this way it would be the first thing The Mister would look at in the morning. ;)
Have a great week end, too! :)

I love that he knew what you were doing when you took the pic. Am I your favorite moment?? LOL, very sweet. Your drink looks yummy and a great way to use those oranges!

Colleen–wasn’t that funny? I couldn’t believe he said that. :)

I think it’s so nice that the Mister knows about “your favorite moment”. My Mister doesn’t even read my blog. “I can just talk to you if I want to know what you’re up to”, he says!
